Freedom of Information Act

Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

It is the policy of the Board of Trustees of the Wood Dale Fire Protection District to permit access to and copying of public records in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/4).

The district respects the limited exceptions outlined in the Act with regard to the safeguarding of individual privacy and the efficient operation of the district. The Administrative Assistants, Fire Chief, and Deputy Fire Chief — hereby appointed as the District's FOIA Officers — shall ensure that the district complies with the Act.

How to Submit a Request All public requests for information and/or records are processed through the administration office of the district, located at 589 N. Wood Dale Road, Wood Dale, IL 60191. Requests are accepted via mail, facsimile, email, or personal delivery. While a specific form is not required, the District has a form available for your use below.
